Even though this issue is observed only in Windows Server 2012 R2, the hotfix also applies to Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1. To fix this issue, we have released a hotfix. The effect of this is that the printing job takes longer because it doesn't start immediately while spooling is still in process. By design, this feature waits for the spooling to complete before it prints the job. The feature reduces the delay in file transfer. This issue occurs because of a new feature known as Driver-Requested Archive-optimized XPS output that's added in Windows Server 2012 R2. For example, the printing was done within one minute before the upgrade, it takes about five minutes now. In this situation, it takes longer to print through a redirected printer that uses the Remote Desktop Easy Print as a driver.
